about
This song was written in memory of my sweet mother Marie who passed on September 17th, 2009. I am fortunate enough to be able to know and work with Michael Harris of Idiot Pilot and Ashley Bullock of Great Waves. They were gracious enough to help me with song and it wouldn't be anywhere near this amazing without them.
Please take this song as a sign of my appreciation to anyone that knew Marie or has lost someone dear to them. Or perhaps if you love pretty music! Thank you!
lyrics
Where we stand, here today
Amid bones and the ones that we loved
There is no mention of memory or its pain
But if we look hard enough
We will see the reflection is ours
To hold and to cherish
All those things dear to us
Sometimes i sit in my room at night
Contemplate just where you went
But I guess your gone
I guess your gone
What a simple thought
That one day you and i will be reunited in our dreams again
In our dreams again
Somewhere new, somewhere great
Somewhere true, in the absence of earth
Where you now reside
Perfectly happy to have withdrawn
Though we see sun sometimes
We all know who the brightest here was
Shining down and reaching out
Melting our hearts to their core
Sometimes i sit in my room at night
Contemplate where you went
But I guess your gone
I guess your gone
And I have to move on
Pushing forward through each day
Remembering why I came
And the rest is ours, the rest is ours
What a simple thought
That one day you and i will be reunited in our dreams again
In our dreams again
